The Beretta cheetah 81 is a live fire handgun that will require being transferred to the new owner.
A federal firearm licensed dealer (FFL) will handle the dealer record of sale (DROS).
The process is straightforward being that the handgun is fully compliant and currently registered. Assistance will be given to the new owner for future compliance and assist with a seamless transfer.
The magazine has been permanently altered to hold nine rounds. The false suppressor is simply a non-baffled tube that has an interior small diameter plug to allow the cycling of the gun while using blanks. It can be in no way modified to become functioning.
An option that the new owner can choose would be to have the Beretta cheetah sympathetically and permanently deactivated. In this case, it is no longer considered a live fire gun and can be transferred without the use of an FFL. The work would need to be done at a federally licensed facility that deactivates guns primarily for the movie industry.
If the new owner is interested in a permanent sympathetic deactivation, the cost for that will be fully included in the sale price with no extra charge.
